When: Sat., April 17, 1-3 p.m. and Sat., April 24, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 2021
Participants can learn the fundamentals of blacksmithing in a small-group, hands-on training session. Topics will include learning how to heat with a coal-fired forge and techniques for safe hammer usage. Students will have the choice of creating either a wall hook or bottle opener. All tools and materials are included with registration. Students are recommended to bring their own safety glasses and wear a long sleeve shirt and jeans for protection. There is a maximum of four students per session for Fundamentals classes to provide adequate one-on-one instruction. Materials are included in the cost of the class. Details here.
